sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the oldest son of Francesco "Frank" Stallone Sr. who was who is an Italian hairdresser, as well as Jackie Stallone Sr., an astrologer and dancer. He has a younger brother named Frank Stallone, who is an actor and musician. Childbirth complications led to the left lower portion of Sylvester's visage to be affected, resulting in the now iconic "snarling" appearance and somewhat slurred speech. Stallone spent part of his early years in foster care because of the unstable parent-child relationship. The couple later split up. Stallone studied drama at the American College in Switzerland before taking a flight to the University of Miami. Stallone quit school to pursue acting in New York City.
