Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass and country musician. Born on July 23, 1971. Her career in music began in the early years, winning local contests by 10, and recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs together. Her first album as a collective with this band was released in 1989.
